Can be purchased at all entry points in East Africa for 50 Us D for single entry.
Multiple entry visas are for 120 Us D. A valid passport (travel document) is mandatory as a requirement and should be checked before entry.
HEALTH:
A certificate of Yellow Fever is required. Visitors must also have their health insurance. East Africa is a region where Malaria Fever is very high, so prophylaxes are very important as well as for insect bites.
Bring all your personal medications.
CURRENCIES:
The currencies in operation are shillings for Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya while Francs are for Rwanda and Burundi.
Dollars, Pound Sterling and many other foreign currencies are readily exchangeable either in banks or Forex Bureaus. There are several international banks within the region.
LANGUAGES:
English is the official language used along side Swahili as a lingua-franca.
GETTING AROUND:
All the game drives are done over land with exception of Serengeti Maasai Mara National Park where Balloon Safari are offered. For Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania driving is on the left side (keep left) whereas Rwanda and Burundi driving on the right side (keep right).
CLOTHING'S:
Lots of light clothing is needed. It is important to have a hat, sun glasses and a water proof jacket. In addition, a pair of binoculars for game viewing all is also important.
FOODS /DRINKS:
Hotels and Restaurants serve local and continental cuisines, always fresh produce.
TIME:
Local time is GMT+3 for Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. For Rwanda and Burundi it is GMT+2.
Traveling time is possible throughout the year but suitable during summer which is a high season over here.
ACCOMMODATION:
Different standards across the region are available; from five (5) stars to up market. In addition lodges, hotels and tents with camping facilities are also available.

There are several mobile phone companies with internet providers across the region.
