Trip Itinerary:
DAY 1:
Early morning drive from Kampala/ Entebbe to Mbale town, visiting
the source of the mighty river Nile in Jinja town. O/N Mbale Town.
DAY 2:
Full day of cultural experience getting the glimpse of the Bamasaba
(Bagisu tribe) followed by the insight of their traditional circumcision
ceremony”IMBALU” (three (3) days circumcision ceremony. O/N Mbale town.
DAY 3:
Hiking on mountain Elgon till mid-afternoon. Relaxation and tour
of the town. O/N Mbale Town.
DAY 4:
Heading further Northern East – to the Sipi waterfalls for the sight seeing
followed by another experience on cultural tour to the Abayudaya people.
O/N Mbale Town.
DAY 5:
Mornings, a visit to both Nyero rock pantings and some selected traditional
huts in Kumi district O/N Kumi Town.
DAY 6:
Travelling back to Kampala early in the morning, with a stop over at Jinja town then
continuing to catch the flight back home.
